Why does silver darken?

Clean your jewelry with neutral soap
If your jewelry is slightly darkened, you can clean it with neutral soap and water. To do this, just put a little soap on your hands, take the pieces and rub them. You can use a soft brush or cloth for a deeper cleaning. After cleaning, rinse with water and dry.
Clean your silver jewelry with baking soda and water
If your jewelry is very darkened, the simplest, cheapest and most effective way to clean your jewelry is a home remedy with baking soda, aluminum foil and hot water. This method works very well for silver chains

- Heat water in a saucepan and, when it is boiling, pour the water into the lined bowl.
